How do I sort this?

Hi everyone.

Am having an odd problem. I love dark skins but they make Word a bit hard to use with making the "paper" dark, a very dark grey in the case of the wonderful "G3" skin. Even though the text becomes white it is most unsettling - especially when formatting the Guardian Crossword for printing! (I am signed up to get it off the net instead of buying the paper every day). Trying to get my head around the fact that the white squares on the "paper" are the ones that will print in Black is no mean task first thing in the morning!

I have tried all the options in the "per application" section of the windowblinds config dialogue and it seems to make no difference - even choosing the "don't skin this application" option.

Am I missing something obvious or is there a glitch in the current (4.49) version of the software?

Yeah, I tried to use the per settings as well and found them to not work with Word. strange that....

First, have you tried to use the 'light' version of GT3? Look at the top Windowframe of any window. On your left you see two buttons; one that looks like a pin, and another one that looks like this; <> . You can switch between the 'dark' and the 'light' version by clicking on this second icon from the left.

If the light version doesn't do it for you, you can try the following: Open Skinstudio (if you don't have it, download and install it http://www.skinstudio.net/ ), and load GT3 into it. On the left side menu click on Miscellaneous > Colors. Then click on Window > Background Window in your right-side menu. Edit the colour to white by using the colour picker underneath the preview window. Save the skin and reapply.
